The Best Robot Vacuum and best budget robot vacuum for pet hair Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as some others do and can remove pet hair with ease. It's not the best budget robot vacuum For Pet Hair time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving along.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum mop combo known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
