The robot also does great job moving around furniture and can even move through stairs and fully-carpeted rooms effortlessly.

I tested the IONXL in a kitchen and family room with hardwood flooring, area rugs and a standard test for debris. It did a great job vacuuming, clearing pet hair and debris off the floors, and took care of some of the more difficult crumbs on carpets. It also did a great job in getting around my barstools and didn't hit them as the iRobot J7+ did during this test. The only downside is that the IONXL cannot detect toys, cords and shoes that may be in its path which means you'll have to pre-clean your house before running this robotic vacuum to stay clear of these items.

The ION XL robot cleaner is not as intelligent as the iRobot j7+, but it's a great option if you do not need to spend more than $500 on a robotic. It's better than the eufy RoboVac 11S, in many ways. It's simpler to maintain and has lower recurring costs. It also does a better job at vacuuming bare floors and picking up pet hair, but it can't perform as well on highor high-pile carpet.

It's not as robust, but it's still an excellent choice. The ION XL has a large bin capacity, and it can be controlled via an app and voice commands, and is simple to keep up with maintenance. It's also a great price.
